The mission of M&T SIG is to facilitate application and promotion of multimedia via the cooperation, communication, and interchanges among MCN, local museums, cultural heritage institutions, and information technology communities. Furthermore, M&T SIG aims to advance the influences of museums on culture and education and to stimulate the development of cultural industry in Taiwan.
- M&T SIG organizes professional symposiums, workshops, and conferences in order to encourage the communications and sharing of valuable experiences among its members and to provide them with the latest practical and theoretical skills and knowledge.
- M&T SIG encourages organizations to establish their websites and on-line multimedia database systems and provide them with regular consultancy.
M&T SIG welcomes friends from various fields and of different backgrounds, especially those who work in local museums or cultural institution/organizations as information professionals, or those who research on related areas such as information management, museum studies, cultural heritage management, art and technology…etc.
Rights Once you become a member of M&T SIG, you have the following rights:.
- Free or concession admission to participate in all the academic activities held by M&T SIG.
- Have priority rights to register all activities and events by M&T SIG.
- Exchange ideas with colleagues from other organizations and expand your social network.
Obligations
- A member of M&T SIG should participate in the events held by M&T SIG to share, communicate, and interact with other members.
