Do you have a great quantity of personal collection, piling up in the storage room and you have no idea how to deal with them? Is the warehouse of your workplace messy and chaotic? Are you thinking of repackaging your collection, whose package is yellow and crumbled, but you have no idea how to prepare the materials?

In the afternoon of June 24th, 2010 (Thursday), Academia Sinica, Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program, and Standards SIG of Museum Computer Network Taiwan Chapter will host the second workshop in the year of 2010 in the Institute of History and Philology of Academia Sinica. The topic is “Storing and Packing of the Cultural Items.” We will have with us Ms. Min-Min Ku, the section chief of the Department of Archives and Research in the Museum of National Taiwan University of Arts, who will give us a speech. Ms. Min-Min Ku graduated in School of Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, and in School of Conservation and Cultural Relics from the Lincoln University. She has studied archives management for many years, endeavoring to practically teach maintenance and preservation of cultural relics. Through introducing real cases, she will lead the attendees to understand how to pack and store different cultural relics, and expect the attendees to share their practical problems in the lecture.
