To help Taiwan’s museums and cultural institutions enhance collection, research, exhibition and education functions via the information technology, MCN Taiwan organizes “Technologies for Museums & Cultural Institutions Conference” with “Taiwan Digital Archives Expansion Project”, “Taiwan e-Learning and Digital Archives Program, Program Office” and “International Collaboration and Promotion of Taiwan e-learning and Digital Archives Program,” inviting museums, libraries and archives from Taiwan and Chinese-speaking regions, as well as concerned academic institutions and digital collection programs, to share updated applications, developments and reflections.
The conference has been scheduled for August 6, 2009 at meeting rooms 106 and 107 at Academia Sinica Institute of Information Science. All professional staffs of museums and cultural institutions, faculty members and students of concerned departments and graduate institutes, and industrial representatives are welcome to participate. Museum-related entities will be present with exhibitions to give participants inspiration in theory and practice.
